Aurora

Aurora Aksnes was born on 15 June 1996 in Stavanger Norway. Professionally known as Aurora and often stylized with lowercase letters, such in the form of AURORA. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves was released by the record label Decca Records in May 2015 receiving great approval from music bloggers and the press. Half the World Away - by the Oasis to accompany John Lewis' Christmas ad and Nature Boy - by Nat King Cole have already been two of the most notable covers the singer has created. Katy Perry's praise for her song Runaway via a blog post brought the singer additional appreciation. Celebrate her special day. Aurora Aksnes' first musical moment was when she stumbled across a miniature piano hidden in the basement, and becoming enthralled by the sounds it produced. Her parents May-Britt and Jan Oystein Aksnes encouraged her to take up music not as an occupation or pastime but to grow. To achieve this she started writing her own new compositions. As well as Bjork as well, she mentions Leonard Cohen as an influence. After her mother said that the songs she composed were not meant to make her famous but instead to inspire individuals to recognize the importance of their work and influence in the world, she began playing them on stage. The piano was her first instrument at age six and writing music at age nine. The family did not be aware of this until she was fourteen. Aurora wasn't a childhood dream. The only thing she loves is to compose music. According to her, music is the best means of communicating anything.
